Whitefeather Forest Management Corporation
Whitefeather Forest Management Corporation (WFMC) is a tribal enterprise of Pikangikum First Nation. Its first phase involved a co-venture arrangement with Timberline Forest Inventory Consultants that was used to complete a Vegetation Resource Inventory in support of the development of the Whitefeather Forest Initiative.
The Corporation has been mandated to undertake the various planning tasks associated with the Whitefeather Forest Initiative. Upon acquisition of commercial forest management tenure, WFMC will undertake forest management planning on those lands within the Whitefeather Forest Planning Area where forestry activities are approved and established. Whitefeather Forest Management Corporation is also offering its capacities to other First Nations and businesses.
