Welcome to the Whitefeather Forest Initiative

We started this Initiative because of the land. The people of Pikangikum have lived for a long time and this is how we survived … We started this for our youth. For my part, I am now old so I need to plan for their future.
Elder Solomon Turtle (in translation)

The Whitefeather Forest Initiative is a community economic renewal and resource stewardship initiative of Pikangikum First Nation.

Our Initiative is guided by our Elders for our youth today and for future generations.
